When I first became a parent, I didn’t imagine that traveling with a baby—let alone three young children—would one day become such a big part of our family’s story. But here I am, years later, sharing our journey through this blog, with the hope that it offers encouragement, insight, and maybe a bit of inspiration to other families out there navigating travel with little ones in tow.
Our adventure began when our oldest son was just 7 months old. Many people told us to put travel on hold until he was older, but something inside me knew we didn’t have to choose between seeing the world and starting a family—we could do both. That first trip with him was a learning curve, to say the least. From figuring out naps on the go to dealing with unexpected meltdowns mid-flight, we quickly learned that traveling with a baby isn’t always easy, but it is absolutely worth it.
Fast forward to today: we now have three energetic, curious, and spirited boys, aged 8, 6, and 4. Over the years, our trips have evolved alongside them. What started as quiet strolls with a stroller has grown into hiking up hills, scavenger hunts through museums, and negotiating which snacks to pack for long road trips. With every new destination, we’ve discovered more about each other, stretched our comfort zones, and created memories I hope our children will carry with them for a lifetime.
This blog is more than just a travel journal—it’s a space to reflect on the highs and lows, the challenges and triumphs, and everything in between. It’s for the families who might be wondering if it’s really possible to travel with young children and still enjoy it (spoiler: it is!). I want to share not just the destinations, but the honest moments, the tips we’ve picked up, and the lessons we’ve learned the hard way.
If you're reading this and wondering whether you can pack up your life—even just for a weekend—and explore somewhere new with your kids, let me reassure you: you can. It won’t always go perfectly, but that’s part of the magic. The unpredictability, the laughter, the occasional chaos—it all adds up to a story worth telling.
Thank you for being here. I hope this space becomes a helpful, supportive resource for you and your family’s own adventures.
I love to hear from fellow travelers! Have a question about some of my recent trips? Want to share some travel tips, or have a question? Drop me a line!
Stay tuned for pre-trip planning posts, packing lists, and eventually, day-by-day recaps from the Mediterranean. Summer 2025, we’re coming for you! 🌞⚓🍝
